Here, for evey day in 2013, you can view the Moon's orbital position relative to Earth in its orbit around the Sun. To find today's lunar orbital position, just scroll to the appropriate part of the video.
You'll no doubt quickly realize that this orbital view of Earth is oriented in the same way as the diagrams on our Solar System page. That is, the Vernal Equinox is similarly in the 3:00 o'clock direction. This makes it easy to visualize the Moon's current position relative to Earth's orbit and the rest of the Solar System.
